Job summary

Nationwide Children’s Hospital is seeking a Systems Analyst II to support clinical applications that enable patient care and hospital operations. You will partner with clinicians, leaders, vendors, and IT teams to analyze requirements, implement enhancements, troubleshoot issues, and support technology initiatives.

The role requires strong analytical and communication skills, experience with SQL and data management, and the ability to manage testing, documentation, and disaster recovery

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, required.
• ITIL certification or training, preferred.
• Strong skills in SQL programming, relational database management, reporting software tools and MS Excel, preferred.
• Strong skills in data management systems and extensive spreadsheet, database and presentation graphics knowledge are preferred.
• Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and Project) required.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills to effectively interact with external contacts, administrators, medical staff, and employees at all levels.
• Strong attention to detail and demonstrated problem solving skills.
• Ability to quickly learn, adapt and work with new applications or tools.
• Able to be a visionary and see the larger picture.

Responsibilities

• Analyses and supports complex systems across multiple departments.
• Mines and analyzes large, complex datasets.
• Creates and maintains high quality system, report, and interface test scripts.
• Coordinates user acceptance testing.
• Serves as a customer liaison for assigned business areas and provides technical support.
• Documents system design, testing, and maintenance procedures.
• Develops Disaster Recovery plans for assigned systems.
• Collaborates with IT to integrate new systems with existing ones.
• Performs system updates, patches, releases, and upgrades.
• Evaluates and recommends new technologies to improve efficiency.
