Job summary

Apex Systems in St. Louis (Remote) is seeking a skilled Business Systems Analyst to support lifecycle initiatives, upgrades, migrations, and remediation of end-of-life systems. You will bridge business needs with technical solutions in a healthcare-focused environment.

The role demands 5–7+ years in business systems analysis, strong communication, and familiarity with cloud architectures and Google Workspace. Prior exposure to app stack components and cross-functional teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience: 5–7+ years of experience in business systems analysis or a related technical role.
• Experience with cloud migrations and end-of-life system remediation is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Familiarity with Java, SQL, Visual Basic, or Google App Script.
• Strong understanding of healthcare applications and workflows.
• Solid knowledge of application stack architecture (server, client, cloud).
• Experience with Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, etc.).
• Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills (formulas, Appsheet experience).

Responsibilities

• Gather and document business and technical requirements from IT teams and business units.
• Translate requirements into actionable insights for architects, infrastructure teams, and application analysts.
• Support application and operating system upgrades and migrations to standard platforms.
• Assist in the remediation of end-of-life applications and systems.
• Understand and analyze application stack components (server, workstation, cloud).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation of technical solutions.
• Participate in stakeholder communications and status updates.
