Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care seeks a Sustainability Manager to drive environmental improvements across Care Delivery in the US. You will develop and monitor strategies, collaborate with departments, and promote sustainability initiatives aligned with healthcare standards.

Lead data collection, KPI tracking, and reporting while advancing conservation, safer chemicals, and environmentally preferable purchasing. A healthcare sustainability background is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in sustainability, environmental sciences, or related field (or equivalent).
• Minimum three years of healthcare sustainability experience.
• Experience applying sustainability standards and reporting protocols (e.g., SDGs).

Responsibilities

• Baseline assessment of current practices and opportunities for improvement.
• Develop an environmental sustainability strategic plan for Care Delivery.
• Collaborate with departments to implement the approved strategy.
• Maintain relationships with external organizations to stay aligned with industry norms.
• Establish baselines and collect data to track conservation progress.
• Set and monitor KPIs for sustainability metrics.
• Prepare updates to communicate the strategy, progress, and achievements.
• Develop procedures for materials, waste, safer chemicals, and green purchasing.
• Create project and committee structures to support continuous improvement.
