Job summary

The American Heart Association is seeking a Healthcare Quality Improvement Business Development Manager. This remote role can be home-based, preferably in the Eastern States within the United States.

You will identify and grow sales to hospitals, clinics, EMS, and other health systems, promoting QI products and managing GWTG and certification accounts. The role requires a track record in sales, account management, and building strategic partnerships, with up to 20% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
• Three years of relevant experience.
• Experience with sales development or fundraising within the Association or a related non-profit.
• Experience and proven record of account management and sales success.
• Experience building and managing relationships with external alliances or partners.
• Experience identifying and building relationships with key volunteers in hospital or clinical settings.
• Ability to interact and engage with C-Suite, ideally in a hospital setting.
• Ability to implement effective business-to-business marketing/sales plans.
• Ability to work independently and effectively manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven negotiation skills.
• Excellent written and oral communications.
• Ability to travel up to 20% locally and overnight stay.

Responsibilities

• Identify, build, and increase sales to healthcare systems in assigned territory.
• Achieve annual strategic plan and yearly sales goals for Quality Portfolio.
• Promote adoption of Quality Improvement products (registries, collaboratives, systems of care, certification).
• Build network of volunteers and partnerships to advance mission.
• Prospect from hospitals to identify customers and manage Get with The Guidelines (GWTG) and Certification accounts.
