Job summary

Cognizant is seeking an experienced Healthcare Quality Engineer to drive QA across complex healthcare applications. Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in software quality engineering, including manual and automation testing and Agile delivery.
• Strong hands-on experience in test automation framework development using Java, TypeScript, and multiple frameworks.
• Experience performing functional, integration, regression, end-to-end, API, database, mobile, and cross-browser testing.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end quality engineering activities, including test strategy, test planning, execution, defect management, and release validation.
• Design, develop, and maintain test automation frameworks using Playwright, Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, Protractor, Java, TypeScript, Cucumber, TestNG, and JUnit.
• Create and execute automated and manual test cases for functional, integration, regression, end-to-end, API, database, mobile, and cross-browser testing.
• Perform API testing using Postman and SOAP UI, and performance testing using JMeter and NeoLoad.
• Develop and maintain automated test suites integrated into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Git, Maven, and GitHub Copilot.
• Perform data validation, backend testing, and defect analysis using Oracle SQL and PL/SQL.
• Collaborate with product owners, developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to ensure quality requirements are met throughout the SDLC.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and defect triage sessions.
• Identify testing risks, recommend process improvements, and drive automation best practices across teams.
• Support testing efforts for healthcare applications involving prior authorization, utilization management, provider portals, clinical workflows, and continuity of care.
