Job summary

Cognizant is seeking an experienced Healthcare Quality Engineer to drive QA across complex healthcare applications. You will lead testing, build automation frameworks, and integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines, collaborating with product, development, and stakeholders to deliver scalable healthcare solutions.

Responsibilities include end-to-end quality activities, test strategy, and defect management, with hands-on automation using Java/TypeScript and multiple frameworks.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software quality engineering experience including manual & automation testing, test planning, defect management, and Agile delivery.
• Strong hands-on experience in test automation framework development using Java, TypeScript, Playwright, Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, Protractor, Cucumber, TestNG, and JUnit.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end quality engineering activities including test strategy, planning, execution, defect management, and release validation.
• Design, develop, and maintain test automation frameworks.
• Create and execute automated and manual test cases for functional, integration, regression, API, database, mobile, and cross-browser testing.
• Perform API testing using Postman and SOAP UI, and performance testing using JMeter and NeoLoad.
• Develop & maintain automated test suites integrated into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Git, Maven, and GitHub Copilot.
• Data validation, backend testing, and defect analysis using Oracle SQL and PL/SQL.
• Collaborate with product owners, developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to ensure quality requirements are met.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and identify testing risks while driving automation best practices.
