Job summary

Cohere Health is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to join a team developing production ML models that extract or predict clinical findings from structured and unstructured healthcare data. You’ll collaborate with engineers, statisticians and clinicians to deliver impactful healthcare technology on a modern stack.

The role emphasizes building production ML systems, feature engineering, and model evaluation, with a fully remote setup and about 5% travel.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of full-time professional ML experience.
• MS in computer science, machine learning, computational linguistics, statistics, mathematics or a similar field.
• Hands-on experience with modern language models, including context-engineering LLMs or fine-tuning LMs.
• Experience in experimental design, data collection, measurement and interpretation of results.
• Experience configuring, training, evaluating, deploying, and maintaining models in production.

Responsibilities

• Analyze healthcare data to design, develop and deliver clinical ML models.
• Build reliable and scalable production ML systems.
• Work on feature engineering, statistical analysis and model runtime improvements.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, statisticians, clinicians and analysts.
