• Experience with alpha and numeric data entry.

• Validates patient and provider demographics including correct selection of provider by specialty.
• Determines eligibility for health care benefits by assessing patient status and referral/authorization path.
• Contacts medical providers by phone and confirms patient details for urgent requests to keep referrals moving.
• Follows step-by-step instructions and redirects patients into the provider network as required.
• Produces business correspondence from referral/authorization orders and ensures correct provider/patient details.
• Generates letters to validate correct delivery to providers/patients and accurate demographics.
• Tracks personal production via production reports and maintains outcome data.
• Meets goals by tracking performance and prioritizing work.
• Identifies problems, recognizes patterns, and determines solutions.
• Works as a team member to achieve department goals and provide outstanding customer service.
