Job summary

Centene Corporation is seeking an Intake Representative I to enter patient data into our medical management authorization system, ensuring accuracy and meeting production quotas. This role validates demographics, determines eligibility for benefits, and communicates with providers and patients to move referrals forward.

Qualified candidates must be in Missouri and authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; college course work preferred.
• Six months experience in a production/data entry environment in a healthcare related organization.
• Medically based trade school diploma/certification desired.

Responsibilities

• Enter data into the medical management authorization system to process requests.
• Validate patient and provider demographics and determine provider specialty for care.
• Determine eligibility for health care benefits based on status and referral path.
• Contact medical providers and patients to move urgent requests forward within timeliness standards.
• Prepare business correspondence with clinical information for servicing providers.
• Generate and review letters to ensure correct provider/patient details and reasons for services.
• Track production via a production report including outcomes and closures.
• Meet production goals and track performance, prioritizing tasks.
• Collaborate with teammates to achieve department goals and deliver excellent customer service.
