Job summary

You will validate patient and provider demographics, determine eligibility for benefits, contact provider offices and patients for urgent requests, and ensure referrals move forward per contract timeliness.

Qualifications

• Must have data entry experience in a production/data entry environment within healthcare or related fields.
• Experience handling alpha-numeric data accurately.
• Ability to handle calls and communicate with providers and patients professionally.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in entering information.

Responsibilities

• Enter data from physicians' requests into the authorization system.
• Validate patient and provider demographics and correct provider specialty selection.
• Determine eligibility for benefits and appropriate referral/authorization paths.
• Contact medical provider offices by phone and confirm with patients for urgent requests.
• Prepare business communications and letters with clinical information for servicing providers.
