Job summary

The University of Texas Dell Medical School in Austin seeks a Healthcare Contracts Specialist to support contract lifecycle, draft and negotiate standard and moderately complex agreements, including HIPAA-related documents, and coordinate reviews with the contracts team. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in business or a related field.
• At least two years of experience reviewing, analyzing, drafting, negotiating, or administering contracts in a law office, higher education, healthcare, procurement, compliance, or general business environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Products.
• Preferred: contract administration experience at a Texas institution of higher education.
• Experience with healthcare-specific agreements and HIPAA compliance is a plus.
• Certified Contract Manager or comparable certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supports intake and processing for a variety of agreements, including BAAs, revenue agreements, software and equipment agreements, services agreements, and HIPAA-related documents.
• Drafts, revises, and negotiates standard and moderately complex service agreements, NDAs, data use agreements, amendments, and related documents.
• Ensures conformity with policies and regulatory requirements and escalates complex issues as needed.
• Coordinates contract routing, approvals, and signatures; maintains contract data and records.
• Produces routine reports on contract activity, status, and deadlines; supports audits and compliance reviews.
