Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Healthcare Communications Consultant to help health plans develop and optimize member communications across Commercial, Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, and other government programs.

The role requires collaborating with clients and internal teams to deliver compliant, effective communications that improve member experiences and business outcomes. Remote work is available nationwide in the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in Healthcare Administration, Business, Communications, Marketing, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of Commercial, Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, and other health plan products.
• Experience supporting healthcare member communications and enrollment-related initiatives.
• Expertise in communication strategy, reporting, and regulatory communication requirements.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and requirements-gathering skills.
• Excellent written, verbal, and client-facing communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced consulting environment.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on healthcare payer communications, including Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, and Commercial HMO/PPO plans.
• Support complex member correspondence, enrollment communications, and regulatory notices.
• Analyze business requirements and recommend communication solutions aligned with industry and compliance standards.
• Lead communication initiatives related to Open Enrollment (OE) and Annual Enrollment Period (AEP).
• Manage multiple projects while coordinating with clients, internal teams, and offshore resources.
• Support reporting, communication governance, quality assurance, and process improvement efforts.
