Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Healthcare Communications Consultant to help health plans develop and optimize member communications across Commercial, Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, and other programs. This remote, full-time role partners with clients and internal teams to deliver compliant, effective communications that enhance member experiences and support business objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in Healthcare Administration, Business, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of Commercial, Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, and other health plan products.
• Experience supporting healthcare member communications and enrollment-related initiatives.
• Expertise in communication strategy, reporting, and regulatory communication requirements.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and requirements-gathering skills.
• Excellent written, verbal, and client-facing communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced consulting environment.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on healthcare payer communications, including Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, and Commercial HMO/PPO plans.
• Support complex member correspondence, enrollment communications, and regulatory notices.
• Analyze business requirements and recommend communication solutions aligned with industry and compliance standards.
• Lead communication initiatives related to Open Enrollment (OE) and Annual Enrollment Period (AEP).
• Manage multiple projects while coordinating with clients, internal teams, and offshore resources.
• Support reporting, communication governance, quality assurance, and process improvement efforts.
