Job summary

Commence is seeking a data integration professional to map and validate healthcare data from EHR/billing sources into a platform ingestion model. You will write SQL against large data extracts, validate mappings, and implement coding logic for CPT/ICD-10-CM/PCS workflows while collaborating with customer IT and revenue cycle teams.

The role requires AWS experience, Git version control, and the ability to communicate effectively with engineers and clinical leadership.

Qualifications

• 3+ years implementing, configuring, or supporting healthcare software in provider orgs or 3+ years in revenue cycle/coding ops with config responsibility.
• Working knowledge of medical coding: CPT, ICD-10-CM/PCS, NCCI edits, operative notes.
• Proficiency in SQL (joins, aggregates, subqueries, windows) for data investigations.
• Hands-on AWS experience (S3, RDS, EC2, CloudWatch, IAM).
• Git for version control: branching, PRs, reviews.
• Ability to read Java and make bounded changes (not full-stack dev).
• Strong pattern recognition: identify root cause from large discrepancy reports.
• Detail-oriented with high-stakes accuracy in clinical/financial data.

Responsibilities

• Map source data from EHR, scheduling, billing, and docs into platform ingestion models.
• Validate SQL against extracts to confirm data completeness and build reconciliation queries.
• Configure coding logic for procedure catalog, modifiers, and payer requirements.
• Run side-by-side validation between platform output and coder output; root-cause discrepancies.
• Own gap remediation through go-live and stabilization; escalate defects with reproducible cases.
• Work day-to-day in AWS and operate in customer-segregated environments.
• Maintain configurations and mapping definitions in Git; follow review processes.
• Read Java components and make small changes under engineering review.
• Act as the technical point of contact between clinical and revenue cycle teams.
• Contribute runbooks and tooling to shorten future implementations.
