Job summary

Kootenai Health is seeking a Business Intelligence Developer to manage the BI lifecycle, from requirements to deployment, focusing on CAH and Clinic reporting. You will design data extractions, models, and documentation while collaborating with healthcare and IT stakeholders.

The role supports US remote eligibility, with responsibilities including data validation, troubleshooting, and working with SQL Server-based environments to deliver timely insights for quality, safety, and financial metrics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 5 years of professional experience with 3 years in healthcare.
• 3 years’ experience writing SQL reports.
• Experience with relational databases (SQLServer, PostgreSQL, Oracle).
• Experience with Meditech Expanse Data Repository preferred.
• Experience with ETL tools preferred (SSIS, Data Factory).
• Strong interpersonal skills and customer expectation management.

Responsibilities

• Designs and optimizes data extraction for CAH and Clinic reporting.
• Uses SSMS, SSIS and BI tools to assemble and format data.
• Creates and maintains logical data models for reporting solutions.
• Maintains documentation for data models and field mappings.
• Collaborates with CAH/Clinic leaders on report requirements and validation.
• Tests and validates reports after installations and upgrades.
• Troubleshoots production jobs and performs service recovery as needed.
• Supports after-hours on-call rotation.
