Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition, nursing, kinesiology, health education, community health education, public health, or psychology.
• 2 years of experience as a health and wellness coach with readiness to change, motivational interviewing, goal setting, and resolution techniques.
• Ability to manage multiple calendars and meet deadlines.
• Ability to problem solve and work in a self-directed team.
• Demonstrated ability to connect individuals to healthcare resources.
• Excellent computer skills including MS Office, Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
• Ability to interact with diverse individuals and organizations including hospitals and insurers.

Responsibilities

• Provide telephonic, in-person, and/or virtual health coaching by assessing needs and readiness to change to help clients set personal wellness goals.
• Document coaching encounters and coordinate care across the continuum.
• Develop and provide evidence-based wellness education programs and offerings.
• Monitor and improve BeneFIT health coaching and wellness programs to meet goals.
• Serve as a wellness resource to colleagues, clients, brokers, payers, and partners.
• Attend trainings to maintain coaching standards and certifications, expanding knowledge base.
