Job summary

AHCCCS in Arizona's Medicaid program is seeking a Health Program Manager 1 in the Division of Managed Care. The role oversees the PASRR program for Arizona residents in skilled nursing facilities, coordinating Level I and II submissions and ensuring compliance with federal and state rules.

The position requires two years of related experience (associates may substitute); a Bachelor's in healthcare is preferred. Remote work within Arizona may be available based on agency needs.

Qualifications

• Two years of professional experience related to health programs.
• Associates degree may substitute for one year of experience.
• Bachelor's degree in healthcare-related field preferred.
• Strong computer skills; familiarity with PASRR policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor PASRR referrals and evaluations, determining the appropriate reviewer for Level II submissions.
• Maintain PASRR mailbox/Portal and PASRR database; assist providers and resolve discrepancies.
• Develop and monitor program policies; conduct performance audits for compliance with laws and mandates.
• Support training initiatives and provide technical assistance to staff, MCOs, and providers.
• Interpret Federal and State PASRR rules and maintain client records.
