Qualifications

• Four years of policy experience.
• Two years of experience in a medical benefits or insurance setting, or other related work experience to gain a good understanding of claims and eligibility issues, basic medical coding expertise, and insurance product knowledge.
• Experience managing projects that require strong interpersonal and organizational skills and the ability to perform under stress and to meet deadlines.
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Intermediate skills in computer-based word processing and spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

• Leads the research process from initial request through analysis and policy implementation.
• Develops policies aligned with organizational goals and strategic initiatives.
• Presents recommendations and analyzes impacts and implementation ease.
• Oversees policy/product changes implementation with cross-functional teams.
• Provides policy project support and acts as a resource for teams.
• Stays current on policy-related changes to inform benefit quoting and adjudication.
• Oversees coding review and determines coverage/benefits for each code.
• Leads initiatives for policy changes and participates in cross-functional committees.
• Assists in other policy-related product development activities and research.
