Job summary

State of Maryland seeks a Health Policy Analyst I within the MDH Office of Innovation, Research and Development (IRD) to provide health program and policy expertise for high-priority Medicaid initiatives. This role supports expansion of benefits, pilot programs and evaluation activities to improve access and quality of care for Maryland Medicaid.

Qualifications

• Education: A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Experience: One year of experience evaluating, analyzing, researching and developing health care services, policies and programs.
• Note: A Master's degree may substitute for required experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide health program and policy expertise to high-priority Medicaid IRD initiatives.
• Facilitate projects related to new benefits, program expansions, pilot programs and monitoring and evaluation activities.
• Coordinate internal and external stakeholder meetings, conference calls and committee meetings.
• Inform development of applications for CMS federal authorities to maximize federal investment (e.g., 1115 waivers and Medicaid State Plan Amendments).
