Job summary

MDH Department seeks an advanced health policy analyst to lead the Medicaid Office of Innovation, Research and Development within the Maryland Department of Health. The role provides expert consultation on Medicaid policy, develops reports, initiates and executes projects, and supervises other analysts.

The position covers high-priority Medicaid policy, data analysis, health system reform activities, fiscal and policy analysis of legislative initiatives, and broad stakeholder engagement with 60%

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Three years of experience evaluating, analyzing, researching and developing health care services, policies and programs.
• Experience developing program guidance and operating procedures.
• Experience advising senior leadership on major policy decisions.
• Master's or Doctorate degree can substitute for required experience.

Responsibilities

• Leads the Medicaid Office of Innovation, Research and Development in Maryland's Department of Health.
• Provides expert consultation on Medicaid policy and develops reports.
• Initiates and executes projects and supervises other analysts.
