Job summary

Maryland AG is seeking a Health Policy Analyst I to provide health program and policy expertise to Medicaid IRD initiatives, including new benefits, program expansions, and pilot projects in Baltimore. The role supports stakeholder meetings, prepares legislative responses, and analyzes federal and state legislation, helping maximize investment from CMS while informing senior managers and policymakers.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
One year of experience evaluating, analyzing, researching and developing health care services, policies and programs.
Master's degree in Health Sciences, Health Care Administration, Public Health, Public Policy or closely related field from an accredited college or university may substitute for the required experience.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and facilitate internal and external stakeholder and staff meetings.
Prepare and review responses to legislative offices, the Governor, the press, and CMS as needed.
Analyze federal and state legislation, including fiscal impact.
Support the design, development, implementation, and evaluation of high-priority Medicaid projects.
