Job summary

The American Heart Association is seeking a Program Analyst, Health IT Data to drive outpatient quality program data operations and training. This remote role collaborates across departments to design scalable data solutions and support program growth.

Responsibilities include data collection, reporting, and cross‑functional coordination, with a focus on improving cardiovascular care programs and stakeholder communications. A strong background in data tools and presentation skills is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• 3 years of project management with timelines and stakeholder communication.
• Experience with data storytelling and trends using Excel and reporting tools.
• Experience in outpatient health care or public health quality/program development.
• Strong documentation and resource development, including presentations and tutorials.
• Comfort with clinical quality measures and data-driven quality improvement.
• Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills (PowerPoint, Word, Canva, Teams/Outlook).
• Ability to work independently; travel ~10% is required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, consult, and analyze clinical, operational, and program data needs to identify problems and opportunities.
• Engage with clinical leadership and cross-functional partners to advance quality improvement initiatives.
• Operationalize data collection, validation, reporting, and QA with staff, customers, and vendors.
• Support Health IT–enabled program functions, including data submission, workflows, and tooling.
• Analyze trends and performance data to inform recommendations and drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate across the American Heart Association to align Health IT and program priorities.
• Lead or support national virtual workgroups and program development activities.
• Communicate progress, risks, timelines, and deliverables to leadership.
