Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Epidemiology, Public Health, Biostatistics, Statistics, Evaluation, or related quantitative field.
• 3 years of experience in epidemiology and public health evaluation, preferably involving chronic disease prevention and surveillance, population health, community-based research, or cardiovascular health.
• Experience with project management, coordination, written and verbal communication, stakeholder engagement, and deadline management.
• Experience designing and implementing evaluation plans for community health-related programs.
• Experience creating data collection instruments for quantitative and qualitative methods.
• Experience using national surveillance datasets such as NHANES, NHIS, CDC WONDER, BRFSS, HCUP, MEPS.
• Proficiency in statistical analysis, data management, QA, and reproducible workflows using SAS, R, or similar tools.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; ability to work in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Acquire, manage, analyze, validate, and interpret cardiovascular data from national datasets.
• Produce tables, figures, dashboards, and summaries for the Annual Heart Disease and Stroke Statistical Update.
• Develop analytic documentation, SOPs, QA processes, and reproducible workflows.
• Lead evaluation planning for lipid management and related health initiatives.
• Prepare reports, manuscripts, and presentations translating findings for diverse audiences.
• Collaborate with internal teams, contractors, and partners for data acquisition and use of findings.
• Identify barriers and engage resources to ensure timely, high-quality deliverables.
