Responsibilities

• Receive and process requests for patient health information according to policies.
• Maintain confidentiality and security with all privileged information.
• Maintain working knowledge of Company and facility software.
• Adhere to Code of Conduct and policies.
• Inform manager of work issues or fluctuating volumes.
• Assist with additional duties as required.
• Safeguard patient privacy and ensure HIPAA compliance.
• Prepare new patient charts and gather necessary documents.
• Assemble medical records in standard order and ensure completeness.
• Create digital images of paperwork for EHR storage.
• Respond to requests for patient records from internal and external sources.
• Answer inbound/outbound calls and assist with walk-ins.
• May assist with administrative duties like data entry and mail.
