Job summary

Hudson Physicians Sc is seeking an experienced Health Information Supervisor to support HIPAA-compliant information flows and the Health Information Exchange. The role will primarily be remote with occasional in-person meetings and events in Hudson, WI.

Qualifications

• Minimum: High School Diploma.
• Desired: Post-secondary education and/or three years of experience in a healthcare office setting.

Responsibilities

• Provides work direction.
• Coordinates staff schedules.
• Oversee staff training, including creating and updating training guides.
• Problem solves and trouble shoots department issues.
• Conducts performance reviews.
• Assists in recruitment and facilitates new hire training.
• Creates reports and performs analysis.
• Collaborates with other departments, providers and outside facilities.
• Other duties as assigned by Manager.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Oversees health information functions: patient records importing/abstracting and portal releases.
• Assists EMR Manager to implement HIE workflows and Oracle Cerner Direct correspondence.
• Manages and tracks insurance payer audits.
• Performs analysis to monitor staff production and provide feedback.
• Delivers exceptional customer service to patients, providers and staff.
• Leads HIS team meetings and mentors staff.
