Job summary

UnitedHealth Group's UnitedHealthcare unit seeks a Health Engagement Coach for Franklin County, OH. You will collaborate with the Health Engagement Consultant to design and execute a multi-year engagement roadmap centered on prevention, nutrition, physical activity, and chronic-disease risk reduction.

You will conduct one-on-one coaching, track progress in dashboards, and deliver outcomes-driven services to high- and moderate-risk employees, with travel up to 75% and occasional remote work.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of direct education and/or coaching for disease prevention or behavior change
• Knowledge of disease prevention (cardiovascular and diabetes) and basics of exercise, nutrition, weight management
• Office 365 basics (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Energetic and compassionate personality; willing to teach and learn
• Ability to communicate with individuals at varying education levels
• Flexible and open to new ideas; willing to take on new responsibilities
• Ability to prioritize and organize work to meet deadlines
• Willingness to travel up to 75% and live within commutable distance from Franklin County OH

Responsibilities

• Assist employees in developing personal and measurable health goals and plans
• Meet with employees on a regular schedule to monitor progress and referrals
• Administer basic non-invasive biometric measurements and provide health education, referrals and counseling
• Track individual and group employee meetings in a proprietary dashboard
• Maintain and report accurate, timely, anonymized outcomes data
• Participate in regular Wellness Program meetings
• Create presentations and present health information to individuals and groups
• Deliver effective personal health coaching to promote behavior change
• Adapt coaching methods to individual needs
• Demonstrate customer service behaviors and respect for clients
