Job summary

The Washington State Health Care Authority seeks a Prior Authorization Communications Consultant 3 – Project to build a communications strategy for FSIPAP and support other clinical health care programs. You will translate complex health IT language into plain, actionable information for providers, legislators, and government partners.

This remote, full-time role funds through 2028-06-30 and requires Washington state residency on start.

Qualifications

• Clearly communicate complex technical information to a non-technical audience.
• Plan strategically, identify communications needs, and develop goals and work plans.
• Knowledge of state health care programs and current health care issues.
• Experience with government agencies, health care providers, and public/private stakeholders.
• Apply equity principles to communications strategies and use social media to reach audiences.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain FSIPAP strategic communications plan with audience mapping.
• Plan and schedule mass email bulletins to inform stakeholders of updates.
• Translate technical language into user-friendly communications using plain talk.
• Coordinate external communications with managed care organizations, providers, and associations.
• Develop internal messaging for HCA change management needs.
• Submit content updates for webpages and support provider communications materials.
