Job summary

ICF seeks an experienced Grants Management Specialist to provide ongoing fiscal assistance to Head Start and Early Head Start grantees, supporting Federal staff with high‑quality grants management services. You will track grants through review and funding, monitor grant documents, and resolve issues, driving closeouts with precision.

This role requires strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and a collaborative approach to improve processes while communicating effectively with grantees

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree preferred in Accounting, Business Management or related field.
• 2+ years of progressive professional experience.
• 2+ years' experience with federal discretionary grants management and regulatory compliance.
• 1+ years experience aggregating, analyzing and reporting data from multiple sources.
• 1+ years’ experience with discretionary grants administration (Head Start/EHS preferred).
• 1+ years’ experience with Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Review and take action on applications to fund 30 days before a grantee’s refunding date.
• Prepare continuation FAAs with letters for mailing 30 days prior to refunding date.
• Track grants through review and funding, including documentation and FAAs in Grants Solutions.
• Monitor timeliness and accuracy of grant applications, reporting, and draws.
• Correspond with grantee staff on a regular basis.
• Prepare grant closeouts with checklists, letters, and closeout entries in Grants Solutions.
