Job summary

BioRender is seeking a Director of Security to lead our Security team as we embed AI into software and products. You will balance traditional information security with the evolving AI threat landscape, shaping governance and a security-first culture.

You will collaborate with engineering to secure AI-driven development, maintain SOC 2/ISO 27001 posture, and drive security operations, audits, incident response, and customer-facing security reviews.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in security leadership, including scaling security programs at fast-growing SaaS companies.
• Deep experience with SOC 2, ISO 27001 and similar certifications.
• Demonstrated understanding of appsec, AI product, and AI software development security risks.

Responsibilities

• Partner with engineering to evolve secure software development with AI tooling and secure customer products.
• Maintain and advance our security posture; evaluate certifications as differentiators for enterprise deals.
• Scale security through automation; lead security operations, audits, incident response, and security awareness.
• Own BioRender's security narrative for enterprise customers, including Trust Center and customer-facing security reviews.
• Instill a culture of security and integrate security and privacy into processes and decisions.
