Job summary

Flip in Marina del Rey, CA is seeking a hands-on Head of Security & AI Governance to own security, compliance, IT operations, and AI risk frameworks. You’ll engage with customers, vendors, and internal teams to build scalable governance and controls for a security-forward company.

You will define policies, implement robust data boundaries, and drive evidence-driven audits while shaping the company’s trust posture in a fast-growing environment.

Qualifications

• 6+ years across security, compliance, IT ops, or GRC.
• Experience owning or operating a SOC 2 program.
• Familiarity with MDM, endpoint security, and SaaS access governance.
• Able to work cross-functionally with engineering, sales, and other teams.

Responsibilities

• Own SOC 2 readiness, audit evidence, access reviews, and security controls.
• Lead customer security diligence, questionnaires, trust materials, and vendor reviews.
• Oversee internal IT and security operations end-to-end.
• Develop AI governance frameworks for data flows, model risk, and logging.
• Create security policies, runbooks, training, and incident response.
• Manage access governance and RBAC across IT, Eng, DevOps, and business systems.
