Job summary

ALX Africa seeks a visionary Head of Impact to design and own a rigorous impact engine that underpins donor and stakeholder trust. You will lead evidence building, validation, and public-facing impact data across the learner journey, spanning enrollment to long-term outcomes.

You will establish standards, dashboards, and partnerships with external validators, researchers, and academic institutions, while collaborating across product, data, and fundraising to tell a credible, data-driven impact

Qualifications

• Expertise in rigorous impact methodology including RCTs and quasi-experimental methods.
• Experience building scalable impact systems, dashboards, and external validation processes.
• Ability to operate in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment while maintaining credibility with donors and partners.

Responsibilities

• Define and own ALG’s impact methodology and trust architecture, including data collection, verification, sampling, and attribution.
• Lead a rigorous research and evaluation agenda with RCTs, quasi-experimental studies, longitudinal research, and mixed-methods evaluation.
• Build partnerships with external validators, researchers, and academic institutions to strengthen credibility.
• Develop and maintain impact dashboards, governance, and public-facing evidence for accountability and fundraising.
• Align internal teams on single source of truth for impact definitions, metrics, and reporting standards.
• Embed impact measurement across the learner journey from enrollment to long-term outcomes.
