Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in data governance, AI governance, technology risk, information governance, model risk, privacy, compliance, or related discipline.
• Strong understanding of data ownership, stewardship, quality, lineage, metadata, classification, access, retention, lifecycle management.
• Working knowledge of AI/ML concepts including generative AI, LLMs, explainability, bias, monitoring, human oversight.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Mercury’s enterprise Data and AI Governance frameworks, policies, standards, and operating model.
• Establish accountability for data ownership, stewardship, quality, lineage, classification, access, retention, and use.
• Create risk-based governance process for AI use cases across their lifecycle (intake, assessment, approval, implementation, monitoring, retirement).
• Develop responsible-AI principles addressing transparency, explainability, fairness, privacy, security, oversight, and compliance.
• Maintain enterprise inventory of data assets, AI use cases, and governance decisions.
