Job summary

Sur La Table, a leading omnichannel retailer, seeks a Director of AI Analytics to unite eCommerce, Marketing, Finance, Retail, and Operations around a single trusted data view. You’ll shape standards, govern AI-enabled workflows, and drive analytics from insight to action in a remote-first setting.

In this leadership role, you’ll own KPI frameworks, data integrity, and scalable analytics that empower senior leadership to forecast, plan, and optimize growth and margin.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of analytics or data leadership across multiple functions.
• Experience leading analytics in commerce-driven businesses.
• Advanced SQL and analytical modeling capabilities.
• Experience designing and governing AI-enabled analytics workflows.
• Hands-on with Heap or similar event-based analytics.
• Ability to pressure-test insights against data, behavior, and logic.
• Translate data into executive-level storytelling and recommendations.
• Available to work standard Eastern Time business hours.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary analytics leader across eCommerce, Marketing, Finance, Retail, Merchandising, Inventory Planning, and Operations.
• Define analytics questions and ensure insights inform decisions.
• Move analysis from descriptive to causal and actionable insights.
• Mine data for risk, opportunity, and performance drivers.
• Influence senior leaders with clear implications and recommendations.
• Establish data governance, KPI frameworks, and standards.
