Job summary

Managed Resources, Inc. is seeking a HCC and Risk Adjustment Coding Supervisor to lead professional coding staff in a remote, full-time role across the U.S. salary range is $75,000–$90,000 per year with scheduling within PST zone.

The position requires seven years of coding experience, 3–5 years in leadership, and a current CPC credential. You’ll guide quality, productivity, and education while supporting client engagements and compliance.

Qualifications

• Seven+ years of progressive professional coding experience across multiple specialties.
• Three to five years of coding leadership or supervisory experience.
• Current CPC credential through AAPC is required.
• Experience managing coder quality, productivity, and workloads.
• Experience conducting coding quality reviews and providing education.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct leadership and day-to-day supervision of Professional Coding staff, including onboarding, coaching, performance management and staff development.
• Ensure client coding deliverables meet quality, productivity, turnaround-time, compliance and service-level expectations.
• Monitor coding operations, workloads, staffing capacity and performance metrics to identify and resolve operational risks.
• Maintain staffing coverage and allocate resources based on client volumes and deadlines.
• Monitor coder performance through KPIs including accuracy and turnaround time.
• Identify performance gaps and implement coaching and corrective actions with HR.
• Serve as a professional coding SME for complex questions and client escalations.
• Ensure coding practices comply with ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, CMS, NCCI and payer requirements.
• Monitor denials and audit findings to identify root causes and education opportunities.
• Maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and delivery against expectations.
• Develop operational reports and dashboards for leadership and clients.
• Partner on workforce planning, client implementations and process improvements.
