Job summary

Kelsey-Seybold Clinic, part of Optum, is hiring a remote ICD-10-CM coder to support CMS coding accuracy across U.S. sites. The role offers remote work from anywhere in the United States with some in-office requirements for certain areas.

You will leverage ICD-10-CM knowledge and certifications to ensure accurate diagnoses, collaborating with clinicians and care teams while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.

Qualifications

• Coding certificate or 2+ years ICD-10-CM experience.
• 10+ hours ICD-10-CM training or AAPC ICD-10-CM certificate.
• CCS-P, CPC, CPC-A, or CRC certification.
• ICD-10-CM coding knowledge.
• Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail.
• Excellent problem solving and written/spoken English.
• Ability to work with diverse educational and socioeconomic backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Ensure diagnoses coded per CMS ICD-10-CM guidelines.
• Maintain accuracy and productivity in coding from medical records.
• Collaborate with care teams and compliance.
