Qualifications

• Coding Program Certificate or 2 years of equivalent experience.
• 10+ hours ICD-10-CM training or AAPC ICD-10-CM certificate.
• CCS-P / CPC / CPC-A / CRC certification.
• ICD-10-CM coding knowledge.
• Strong English speaking/writing/understanding.
• Excellent problem-solving and written/verbal skills.
• Ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the accurate coding of diagnoses that fall under CMS HCC model for Medicare Advantage plans.
• Ensure documentation meets CMS and ICD-10-CM guidelines.
• Work remotely from anywhere in the U.S.; some roles in Minneapolis or DC require in-office four days per week.
