McClatchy Media is seeking a Director, Growth Products & Experiences to lead high-priority initiatives across a new consumer product portfolio, uniting content, engineering, audience, data, and revenue.

You will own the path to market for new consumer products and internal tools, collaborating with cross-functional teams, building prototypes with AI, and setting launch criteria in a fast-moving, autonomous environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in product management, growth product, or 0-to-1 roles in consumer technology or digital media.
• Strong product sense, systems thinking, and business judgment; connect product, operational, financial, and growth considerations.

Responsibilities

• Lead 0-to-1 initiatives from concept through launch with clear KPIs.
• Build and test prototypes quickly with AI for internal tools.
• Collaborate with engineers and designers; iterate prototypes as source of truth.
• Set launch criteria and quality gates; document tradeoffs.
• Maintain scope, decisions, and launch dates in a single source of truth.
• Partner with content teams; challenge assumptions when evidence warrants.
• Present strategy and results to leadership; inform via everyday tools.
• Ethically use AI and automation to improve work efficiency.
