Job summary

McClatchy is seeking a Director of Growth Products & Experiences to drive a portfolio of consumer products and internal tools. You will bridge content, engineering, audience, data, and revenue to identify opportunities and translate ideas into scalable prototypes.

The role emphasizes shipping, strategic judgment, and autonomy in a fast-moving environment, with a focus on AI-enabled prototyping and measurable outcomes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in product management or growth roles in consumer technology or digital media.
• Strong sense of product, systems thinking, and business judgment.
• Hands-on prototyping with internal tools and awareness of UX decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead 0-to-1 initiatives from concept through launch with clear KPIs and reporting.
• Build and test prototypes quickly using AI tools and define the user experience for internal tools.
• Collaborate with engineers and designers; iterate prototypes as the source of truth for decisions.
• Set launch criteria and quality gates; document tradeoffs when timelines and capabilities differ.
• Maintain a single source of truth for scope, requirements, and launch dates to accelerate delivery.
• Present strategy, progress, and results to leadership and cross-functional partners.
