Job summary

Maniilaq Health Association is seeking a Remote Production/Grill Cook to prepare, produce, and present a variety of foods, and to support production sheets for hospital food service in Kotzebue, AK.

This full-time role operates on a 3x3 rotation, with housing provided and three meals daily at the unit when working in Kotzebue. The position originates from Anchorage, AK and may involve other NANA Region villages.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• One year of directly related cooking experience.
• Alaska Food Workers Card or ServSafe certification within 30 days of hire.
• Must pass a fingerprint background check as required by law.
• Fluent in English (reading, writing and speaking).

Responsibilities

• Prepare, produce and present a variety of foods according to standards.
• Complete production sheets and support food service activities.
• Review daily needs with supervisors and complete tasks.
• Assist in supervising and training kitchen staff.
• Maintain sanitation and safe operation of equipment and areas.
• Ensure areas are clean and organized; assist with rotation procedures for perishables.
• Fill in for other kitchen positions as needed.
