Job summary

Valley Cities is seeking a Grant Writer to generate funding to meet over $1,000,000 annually. You will coordinate an agency grants calendar, prepare and submit proposals, and support communications for development activities and the Board of Directors.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree and at least two years of grant writing, with strong project management and collaboration skills to drive multi‑agency proposals and secure vital support for behavioral health programs in Washington.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism, communications, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years grant writing experience in nonprofit or behavioral health.
  • Strong multi‑project management and deadline‑driven skills.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and submit grant proposals for Valley Cities programs.
  • Coordinate submittal of 50+ funding proposals and reports annually.
  • Write and edit proposals as part of our grants team.
  • Coordinate agency-wide efforts to target funding sources and multi‑agency proposals.
  • Gather information on programs and community needs for grant proposals.
