Job summary

Family Promise is seeking a Manager of Grants Compliance to join our Finance Team. This hands-on role ensures strong financial and administrative compliance across a diverse grant portfolio, including government funding, and partners with Affiliates and internal teams to support timely reporting and spend-down.

The role requires 5+ years in grants management, knowledge of Uniform Guidance and Single Audit, and experience building scalable compliance processes. Hybrid/onsite in Summit, NJ.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field.
• Five or more years of progressively responsible experience in grants management, grants compliance, nonprofit finance, or governmental accounting.
• Experience managing compliance for government and private grants.
• Strong knowledge of Uniform Guidance (2 CFR Part 200) and Single Audit requirements.
• Strong analytical and communication skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Manage compliance for a portfolio of private, foundation, corporate, state, and federal grants from award through closeout.
• Translate grant requirements into clear processes and expectations.
• Monitor grant expenditures for allowability and alignment with budgets and donor restrictions.
• Oversee grant budgets, spend-down, reporting, and related financial activity.
• Coordinate grant setup in Sage Intacct and build dashboards to track spend-down and deadlines.
• Develop cost-allocation methodologies and time-tracking systems for larger awards.
• Apply risk-based compliance approaches including Uniform Guidance and Single Audit where applicable.
• Support audits and ensure licensing and nonprofit-status compliance.
