Job summary

Washington University in St. Louis is seeking an experienced Grants Budget Specialist to support sponsored research proposals from pre-award through submission. You will develop budgets, coordinate subawards, and ensure compliance across the proposal lifecycle, working closely with faculty and administrative staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or combination of education and/or experience.
• 2 years of relevant experience in pre-award grant administration.
• Knowledge of RMS and SUBS preferred; familiarity with sponsor guidelines.
• Strong budgeting, analysis, and data management skills.

Responsibilities

• Pre-award grant management: proposal preparation and submission; budgeting and justifications.
• Coordinate subawards and pricing quotes; ensure regulatory compliance data is complete.
• Submit proposals and obtain PI signatures; manage proposal documents online.
• Coordinate with Post-Award and OSRS to implement contracts and subcontracts timely.
