Job summary

Murmuration is seeking a Development Specialist to lead grant writing and reporting and expand the funded pipeline. Reporting to the VP of Growth, you will draft proposals, deliver timely reports, and organize the development process with strong storytelling and data insights.

You will collaborate with Communications and Marketing, maintain donor materials, and help plan events. This is a full-time, remote role open to candidates across the United States with a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in development or fundraising roles with strong grant-writing skills.
• Experience delivering grant reports and donor communications.
• Ability to map funder networks and prepare briefing materials.

Responsibilities

• Draft grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and fundraising materials.
• Develop timely grant reports and donor communications.
• Research prospects, prep meeting briefings, and coordinate follow-ups.
• Partner with leadership to implement a fundraising plan for revenue growth.
• Improve development processes, pipeline tracking, and Salesforce records.
• Collaborate on donor-facing materials and plan events as needed.
