Job summary

ADTRAV Travel Management is seeking Government Travel Consultant Trainees for a formal training program, ADTRAV University, to become Government Travel Consultants. This is a remote/work-from-home position with initial on-site training in Birmingham, AL.

Trainees will learn to book domestic and complex international itineraries using Sabre and ADTRAV systems, serving government clients under a government contract.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 2 years of customer service experience required.
• Strong desire to enter and learn the travel industry; previous experience in travel or hospitality industry a plus.
• Prior experience working in a call center environment strongly preferred.
• Strong computer and typing skills, which includes the ability to navigate quickly between programs and using shortcut keys.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams.
• Excellent English verbal and written communication skills, including basic business writing, grammar, and proofreading abilities.

Responsibilities

• Attend and complete the 12-week training program, including one week on site in Birmingham, AL.
• Answer calls and emails promptly from clients requesting new travel arrangements or changes to itineraries.
• Utilize Sabre to book and issue airline, hotel, car, and other reservations.
• Meet KPIs and maintain consistent attendance and adherence to the schedule.
• Provide travel expertise to clients and communicate effectively with airlines and clients.
