Job summary

GovCIO is seeking a Financial Analyst to support its National Security Sector. The role is fully remote within the United States, with occasional visits to Fairfax, VA.

The analyst will assist in financial reporting, variance analysis, and quarterly forecasts for a large program, partnering with accounting, contracts, and procurement teams. Qualifications include a bachelor's degree and 2–5 years' finance experience, with proficiency in Excel and knowledge of government contracting concepts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's with 2-5 years (or commensurate experience).
• Foundational understanding of Government Contracting concepts and basic familiarity with CAS, FAR, and GAAP principles.
• Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, formulas).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare timely financial reporting deliverables including program trends, variance analysis against budget and monthly reporting for executive management.
• Assist in managing large programs with multiple task orders and contribute to quarterly forecasts and annual operating budgets.
• Provide foundational analysis of key program drivers, risks, and opportunities.
• Prepare data and analysis to support program operational reviews.
• Support the program month-end close process including cost accruals, revenue recognition and expense reviews.
• Monitor subcontracting spending and assist with subcontractor voucher approvals.
• Collaborate with Accounting, Contracts, Procurement and other back-office departments to support program operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
