Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Risk Mitigation Government Contract Specialist to lead contract strategy for commercial and government projects in the Grid Solutions Power Transmission portfolio. This role oversees government property management, contract term interpretation, and risk processes during the Inquiry-to-Order phase to ensure compliant, high-quality proposals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and 10+ years in government/commercial contract formation and execution.
• Extensive knowledge of FAR, DFARS, DEARS and related government contracting regulations.
• Experience drafting/negotiating contractual documents (NDAs, MOUs, Lien waivers, Assignment, Estoppel letters).

Responsibilities

• Lead contract negotiations and governance across commercial and government projects.
• Review and draft NDAs, MOUs, Lien Waivers, Assignment Agreements, and Estoppel Letters.
• Manage Government Property Compliance, audits, and property tracking (FAR 52.245).
• Lead risk processes during Inquiry-to-Order phase including risk reviews and deal desks.
• Coordinate with Legal, Finance, Tax, EHS, Sales and Operations for compliant deals.
