Job summary

Siemens Government Technologies Internship Program offers college students a path to explore government contracting careers. As a Legal Intern, you’ll perform research on complex legal issues and assist across business transactions, gaining exposure to legal, contracts and cross-functional operations.

Qualifications

• GPA 3.3 or higher preferred.
• Currently enrolled in an ABA approved law school.
• Ability to deal with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Self-guided with largely remote supervision from Crystal City office.
• Demonstrated collaboration on projects to achieve results.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office programs.
• Creativity in problem solving and alternative solutions.
• Proven ability to present information in 1-on-1 and group settings.
• Ability to meet deadlines and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Monitor changes to procurement laws and prepare internal updates.
• Perform general legal research on procurement regulations and contracts.
• Develop templates, checklists, playbooks, and SOPs for contract tasks.
• Conduct preliminary contract reviews of various agreements and identify risks.
• Assist in negotiation prep by drafting issues lists and coordinating with stakeholders.
• Draft, revise, and format contract provisions per policies.
• Respond to internal inquiries with statutes and precedents research.
• Maintain corporate governance and administration for legal entities.
• Archive legal documents and manage records practices.
