SEIU in the United States seeks a Governance Strategist to support the Governance Department in complex governance matters affecting the International Union and local unions. This role analyzes issues, provides options, and coordinates with multiple departments. Strong analytical, diplomatic, and budgeting skills are essential.

The position offers a competitive annual salary of $135,609.02 with a remote U.S. option and occasional travel.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree desirable but not required with related experience.
• Extensive knowledge of labor union governance and SEIU structures.
• Minimum five years work within a union and governance context.

Mansioni

• Analyze governance issues and identify options for resolution.
• Coordinate with Geography Officers on local union problems.
• Assist with trusteeships, monitorships and governance assignments.
• Support local unions on budget, structure and policy issues.
• Prepare reports for departmental meetings and update governance dashboard.
