SEIU (Service Employees International Union) seeks a Senior Research Coordinator to lead research teams supporting major campaigns and programs in the United States. The role reports to the Assistant Research Director and oversees international and local researchers, developing capacity, methods, and tools for SEIU campaigns.

The position emphasizes strategic research, training, and collaboration with Locals and State councils, with travel and extended hours expected.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree required
• 7+ years of union research and campaign experience preferred
• Ability to lead research and campaign projects for SEIU goals

Responsabilidades

• Recruits, trains, evaluates, supervises and supports the work of research staff assigned to major union campaigns and programs; provide leadership to research staff, international and local.
• Leads and performs strategic research as a member of a research team within the Strategic Initiatives department.
• Works with International Union research staff in the development of effective national organizing, political and other priority campaigns.
• Provides ongoing support to the union leads on the union campaigns and programs.
• Assists with the direct implementation of strategies and tactics that support these national union campaigns and programs, including working with leaders and union staff to develop organizing campaign strategies.
• Assists in the creation of Local union research networks that support the development of long-term capacity and campaign work in the Local unions.
• Provides research assistance to SEIU State councils as needed.
• Provides education and training of International and Local staff on industry issues related to the campaigns and programs of SEIU.
• Performs other duties as assigned in support of the work of the department.
