Job summary

CSAA Insurance Group, a leading AAA insurer, seeks a Governance Engineer II - Remote to translate enterprise API, data, security, and Responsible AI policies into practical automation. You will build governance-as-code, guardrails, and reusable patterns enabling secure API and AI access to enterprise data and MCP resources.

Collaborating with security, architecture, data and engineering teams, you will strengthen API and AI security, automate compliance, and create self-service tooling that

Qualifications

2+ years of experience in software engineering or related field.
Experience designing REST APIs and OpenAPI specs.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and governance-as-code.
Knowledge of API security concepts (OAuth, authentication, authorization).
Experience with API lifecycle tools (Postman, SwaggerHub).
Familiarity with AI-assisted engineering and agentic AI concepts.

Responsibilities

Translate enterprise policies into implementable governance standards and reusable components.
Develop governance-as-code, guardrails, and automated compliance for APIs and AI agents.
Collaborate with security, architecture, data, and engineering teams to enforce policies.
